| Ground: | Headingley, Leeds |
| Scorecard: | England v West Indies |
| Event: | West Indies in England 2009 |
DateLine: 21st May 2009
The umpires felt that the ground was unfit for the first one-day international between England and West Indies at Headingley after the heavy rainfall. The match was abandoned shortly after 3pm, after heavy rain left the outfield saturated. The two umpires, Nigel Llong and Steve Davis, conducted several pitch inspections but although the weather itself improved, the outfield remained drenched and it prevented any chance for the play to happen.
