Alastair Cook, keeper James Foster, Test fast bowler Stephen Harmison, Ian Bell, Rob Key and all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas have all failed to make the cut for the Champions Trophy squad after being included in the provisional 30. Also missing from the list is the influential batsmen Kevin Pietersen who is still undergoing treatment for his injured Achilles.

 

Andrew Strauss will lead the squad and the new entry to the squad is Kent batsman Joe Denly. Adil Rashid and Tim Bresnan have been also named in the England squad for ICC Champions Trophy.
