New Zealand all-rounder Jesse Ryder has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy after sustaining a groin injury in their match against Sri Lanka.

 

The big all-rounder hurt his left adductor muscle during the early part of his innings of 74 as his side amassed a sizeable 315 for seven.

 

Ryder after that needed a runner for the remainder of his knock, with Daryl Tuffey called in on his behalf.

 

Now that the Kiwis have won the game, they are most likely to call in a replacement.
