Heavy rain forced the umpires to call off the seventh and final one-dayer between India and Australia, giving the tourists a 4-2 series win.

 

The umpires called off the game at 5:00pm, two-and-a-half hours after the scheduled start, after persistent rain had rendered the pitch at the D.Y. Patil stadium unplayable. The match held only academic interest because the Australian side had already taken a decisive lead by winning the last three games.

 

Shane Watson was named the man of the series for his all round performance in the series.
