Uttar Pradesh versus Assam

The Uttar Pradesh bowlers bowled out Assam for 149 on the second day of their Ranji Trophy quarterfinal at the Maligaon Stadium on Friday. Uttar Pradesh, which gained a 64-run lead, was 25 for no loss in its second essay.
Assam Skipper Amol Mazumdar took on the role of anchor while scoring a painstaking 53. Assam lost wickets at regular intervals at the other end.
Tamil Nadu versus Delhi
Tamil Nadu displayed a clinical performance to literally kill Delhi's hope of going forward in this season's Ranji Trophy.
Anirudha laid the foundation with his maiden Ranji Trophy century and carried Tamil Nadu to 463. The bowlers then complemented the batsmen by removing the Delhi openers cheaply as the home side finished the day at 69 for two.
The saving grace for Delhi was the rousing show by left-arm spinner Vikas Mishra, who registered a five-wicket haul in only his second match.
Haryana versus Mumbai
Dhawal Kulkarnis two-wicket burst after Mumbai made a massive 400 in their first innings put his team in a comfortable position in its Ranji Trophy quarterfinal match against Haryana.
The home team was 34 for two with Rahul Dewan (20 n.o) and Manav Sharma (six n.o) putting up a brave fight at the close of the second days play.
Karnataka versus Punjab
Punjab bowling attack left Karnataka in a spot of bother in the Ranji Trophy Super League quarterfinal at the Gangothri Glades Ground on Friday.
At close on the second day, Karnataka scored 265 for six in 77 overs with middle-order batsman Manish Pandey (76 n.o) and southpaw Sunil Joshi (13 n.o.) battling to wrest the initiative. Karnataka needs 36 runs to gain the critical first innings lead.
Karnataka bowled out Punjab for 300 in 92.4 overs. In reply Robin Uthappa (91) and Ganesh Satish (29) then steadied the innings with a 61-run second-wicket partnership after the early wickets jolt.
Karnataka soon wobbled as they lost the wickets of Dravid (36) and Amit Verma.
At 188 for five, Karnataka found a saviour in its highest run-getter this season Pandey. The youngster added 41 runs for the sixth wicket with C.M. Gowtham and later through an unfinished 48-run alliance with Joshi, lent hope for the host.LATEST SCORES
