| Scorecard: | India v England |
| Event: | ICC World Cup 2010/11 |
DateLine: 25th March 2011
It was a blistering captain's knock by England's Andrew Strauss who nothched up 158 runs helping his team to grab control from India. It was very much a 'blood and guts' effort as he was least bothered by the prossure of a chase. and remained undaunted against adversity.

The left hander's fluency in strokeplay was exceptional with many hits square off the wicket on either side. The way he handled the Indian bowling needs lots of applause. His commitment and concentration was phenomenal with partnerships with Ian Bell and others.
The England skipper kept the scoreboard ticking with one's and two's which eased the pressure and led toi a real nail-biting finish. It is knocks like this classic one which sets an example for others to follow.(Article: The opinions expressed in this article are those of the author only.
