Rawtenstall have signed South African left arm seam bowler Jandre Coetzee as professional for 2012. The 27 year-old plays for Griqualand West back home alongside current Enfield paid man Werner Coetsee.
In 51 First-class matches since his debut in 2004, Coetzee has scored 1332 runs at 26.6 with a highest score of 97 not out, and he has taken 187 wickets at 21.4 with a best of 7-31.
Skipper Vinny Hanson said: "After the issues of last season with the professional we wanted to secure next years paid man as soon as possible! Jandre ticked all the boxes and we are looking forward to him joining us in April. He is a lively left arm seamer who is a more than useful batsman and has impressive Uk league stats. Many thanks to Gary Hunt of Cric-Intro for helping us secure Jandre in a timely and organised manner."
Coetsee played for Central Lancashire League side Walsden in 2006 scoring 841 runs at 49.5 and taking 88 wickets at 14.3.
