DateLine: 6th August 2012

It was a scintillating West Indies victory against the Kiwis in the Second Test when they sealed the series after an incredible overall performance after a gap of 16 years. The batting display by Marlon Samuels proved the calibre of the player who kept his cool and played some delightful strokes and had useful partnerships which were instrumental in the Caribbean Victory. Marlon Samuels along with a superb bowling display by Deonarine who picked up vital wickets and never allowed the Kiwis batsmen to settle. Last but not the least one must mention Roach who proved his mettle with his excellent bowling which kept the Kiwi's guessing as they faltered to his impeccable line and length.

This Series Victory by the West Indies is a morale booster for them and an important aspect was the return of Chris Gayle to West indies Test cricket after a gap of 18 months. He struck delightful form in the First Test.

With the victory and this Series capture, skipper Sammy and the whole team should be complimented.
