2015 profile
Michael Hogan has been Glamorgan’s Player of the Year in 2013 and 2014 with the tall Australian being the spearhead of the Welsh county’s attack as well as becoming the fastest man to reach the landmark of 100 first-class wickets for the Welsh county.

2013 saw Michael Hogan enjoy a stellar debut season in county cricket, taking – in all cricket – over 100 wickets in all forms of the game for the Welsh county. His outstanding first summer of county cricket followed an equally impressive rise up the ranks in Australian cricket which has seen the right-arm pace bowler progress from club cricket in New South Wales to a regular place in the Western Australian state side.

2014 saw Michael enjoy further success in Championship cricket, including a maiden ten-wicket haul in the game against Kent, plus a nerveless display in the home Twenty20 match against the same opponents where he delivered an outstanding final over as the contest ended in a thrilling tie.

Michael was a latecomer to first-class cricket with his debut in 2009 coming after a phone call from Western Australia’s selectors who invited for a trial during after them whilst playing club cricket in New South Wales. Michael duly enjoyed a highly successful opening season in the Sheffield Shield, and wickets have followed at regular intervals in the past three seasons, with the right-armer notching up his 100th first-class wicket in the second innings of Western Australia’s match in 2011/12 against Tasmania.
