Rishton have signed South African all rounder Shaun Von Berg as professional for the 2016 season.

 

Von Berg signed as professional for Colne in 2015 but due to unforeseen circumstances he was unable to fulfill his contract.

 

The 29 year-old averages 28.1 with the bat from 72 First-class matches since his debut in 2009, totalling 2618 runs with three centuries and thirteen fifties. Von Berg's leg spin has accounted for 254 victims at 27.9 with a best of 7-66. Von Berg plays for Northerns and Titans alongside former Lowerhouse professional Cobus Pienaar.

 

He will be Rishton's thirteenth South African professional.
