A press release issued on Monday, 7 March 2005 by Taj Television Limited announced their popular satellite TV sports channel, TEN Sports, has acquired the Pakistan satellite rights for the ongoing cricket tour of India.

Taj CEO Chris McDonald said, "We are delighted to announce that TEN Sports will be the home for live action from the much anticipated India-Pakistan series.

"We have always positioned ourselves as the No 1 sports channel in Pakistan, and it doesn't get any bigger than an India-Pakistan cricket series."

Thus TEN Sports will be telecasting the three Test matches and the six One-Day Internationals live and exclusive on TEN Sports. The full schedule details are available here.

Cricket fans will be happy to learn former Test cricketers and now regular commentators for TEN Sports, Sanjay Manjrekar and Rameez Raja, will be part of the commentary team.

In merely three years TEN Sports has become the world's biggest producers of cricket. Cricket from Sharjah, West Indies, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Morocco has been beamed throughout the Indian sub-continent and Asia, as well as in Europe and the Middle East (except Pakistan cricket).

TEN Sports has also broadcast cricket from India, the World Cup 2003 and the ICC Champions Trophy 2004 in certain territories. This channel was launched in April 2002 and is already the favourite sports channel in the sub-continent.
