Nelson have signed New Zealand batsman Craig McMillan as professional for the rest of the season in place of Robin Peterson whose continued International commitments prevent him from returning as originally planned.
 
McMillan is expected to arrive on Thursday 3rd August and will make his debut against Lowerhouse on Saturday 5th August. The following day he will play for Nelson in the Get Solutions Worsley Cup Final at Burnley. 
The 29 year-old has played in 55 Tests for his country, hitting 3116 runs at 38.5 since making his debut in 1997. In all First-class matches he has hit 7514 runs at 39.1. McMillan's useful right am medium pace has also picked up 28 Test wickets. 
Fellow New Zealander Chris Harris will deputize in Nelson's match against Todmorden at Seedhill on Sunday.
