Australias spin bowling coach David Parsons said left arm spinner Ashley Giles will be fully recovered from his hip problem and fit for this winter's Ashes series.

The 33-year-old Giles has not played international cricket since the second Test in Pakistan last November and missed the entire summer after surgery on his hip for a second time. However Parsons insisted that the Warwickshire bowler - who is back at the nets - would be fighting fit come November when they travel out to Australia where England will bid to retain the Ashes which they won back last year.
He will be fighting fit and raring to go by the time England touch down in Australia. The last couple of weeks I have been working quite closely with Ashley and he is coming on strong. He is genuinely making good progress. It is all timed towards making sure he is ready for Australia and from what I have seen he is very much on course for that.LATEST SCORES
