Media Release - 28 January 2008

The arbitration proceedings before arbitrator at Mumbai were fixed on 24-01-08 wherein Mohammad Yousaf was represented by Mr.Taffuzal Rizvi, Advocate who moved two applications before the arbitrator:

1). That he (The arbitrator) is biased as he has passed an ad-interim ex-parte stay order and a suit is pending at Lahore High Court against this stay.

2). That since Mohammad Yousaf has already returned the money paid by ICL which was received back by ICL without any objection therefore there is no contract between the parties anymore. This money was returned by Mohammad Yousaf before singing the contract with IPL.

The arbitrator has issued notices to ICL on these applications and they will be argued on 20-02-08. The ad-interim stay against Mohammad Yousaf is of no significance as it is yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile Mohammad Yousaf's name will be included in IPL Players bidding on 08-02-08.
