A sparkling 87 from 61 balls by professional Lou Vincent led Ramsbottom to a 7 wicket victory in their opening Lancashire League 20/20 match of 2008.

 

Chosing to bat first neighbours Rawtenstall started quickly through McCullum, Cook Martin and Barlow. Although they faltered in the latter part of their innings, their score of 146 on an overcast evening looked formidable.

 

Phil Hayes fell early, bringing David Bell and Lou Vincent together in an 84 run partnership that brought the home team to the brink. With Vincent's unbeaten 87 (6 fours & 4 sixes) and a sharp contribution from Chris Read (18) they ran to victory with 8 balls to spare.
