Only five overs were possible, before further rain halted proceedings at Church and Oswaldwistle on Sunday, which was a shame as Lou Vincent and Phil Hayes had battered 28 runs in that time. Both the openers hit a six and were set for repeat of the previous days heroics.

 

The match got underway at 2.30 as a 39 overs per-side contest, and in fact the only Lancashire League match to get underway. So a happy weekend with victory over Rawtenstall on Friday evening and a Worsley Cup victory at Haslingden, ended on a damp note.
