| Player: | PG Fulton |
DateLine: 3rd June 2008
Peter Fulton hails from Christchurch and has a very funny nickname, Two-Meter Peter, which is because of his tall height and sturdy built. He scored a best score of 301 not out when he made his First Class debut and since then he hasnt looked back. He has played 64 First Class games scoring more than 4000 runs at an average of 45.12.

He has gained a lot of experience by playing for Canterbury County and is one of the few Kiwi players who actually have county cricket experience. On the back of some high scoring performances there, he was first inducted into the New Zealand A teams tour to South Africa, and a further good performance earned him a call-up to the national side.
Fulton made his ODI debut against Bangladesh but that stint didnt last long. But after only a year, he made his comeback as he played against Sri Lanka and scored heavily, notching up two half centuries & one century in that series. Soon he made his test debut against West Indies in 2006 and hasnt looked back ever since.
However, he hasnt been able to perform upto his potential on the international stage. This is also to do with the fact that he has been asked to open the innings on several occasions, while he likes to come down the order at either number 3 or 4. But ever since Lou Vincent bid adieu to international cricket, he has been opening the innings for the team, especially in the 2007 World Cup as he ended up as the third highest run-scorer in the tournament.LATEST SCORES
