A wicketkeeper-batsman of great potential as believed by many pundits in the West Indies but so far has failed to live upto the hype. He was initially a fast bowler who also kept after finishing off his spell but then decided to concentrate on his keeping skills.
At an age of only 19 years, he led both Trinidad & Tobago's and West Indies' Under-19 sides and this meant that with only 13 First-Class games under his belt, he was selected as a first-choice wicketkeeper for the tour to Sri Lanka in 2005. He impressed one and all, with his work behind and in front of the stumps, in the series against Australia in November 2005. His batting however at best has been patchy. He averaged 18.60 in the 2006-07 season as his batting continued to flounder but was still included in the World Cup squad where he scored one fifty against Australia.
