Bacup – usually windy!!! But on an astonishingly windy day at Lanehead the 2nd eleven were on the wrong end of a very large defeat.

 

Bacup batted first and hit 244 on a very fast scoring ground, not helped by sloppy ground fielding and dropped catches.

 

The Ramsbottom batting then went into self destruct, with no one seemingly wanting to take responsibility. A combination of poor attitudes and immature batting meant the score was 34 – 7 before Rizwan Shahid and Hassan Farooq gave a cameo of clean hitting and sensible batting to score 34 and 27 respectively.

 

Eventually bowled out for 93, Ramsbottom were beaten by a mammoth 151 runs.
