After winning the Toss and deciding to bat on one of the best batting tracks in the league, Ramsbottom were soon on the back foot after Ross Brown called a single to mid on, only to run himself out with only 12 on the board.

 

Holt and Skipper, Read soon followed, with Chris Wood the only batsmen in the top four to make a half decent score of 25 with a solid batting performance. Dale Gabriel, Matty Lees and Hassan Farooq were the only other batters who made starts. Ramsbottom all out for 125.

 

Fired up, the Ramsbottom bowlers soon made a few in roads into the Todmorden top order. Great fielding and channelled aggression from the team took the game close, getting beat by one wicket.

 

The best fielding performance of the season so far, but again, the batting failing, not giving the bowlers a competitive total.
