Burt Cockley is a former New South Wales Country representative who appeared in his maiden first-class match last summer. Playing against Tasmania, Cockley, a 22-year-old fast bowler from Newcastle, picked up two wickets for the game and later collected a contract with the Blues. A member of the Randwick Petersham club, Cockley is a groundsman at North Sydney Oval.
