Shikhar Dhawan is one more of those talented left-handers that seem to come out of the Indian cricket scenario at rapid pace. The Delhi batsman, who has moved to Mumbai Indians this season, was also rated as one of the best in the business in the Delhi cricket circles, but he was unfortunately playing cricket as the same time as Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir.

 

Dhawan was in fact rated as a better player than Gambhir for quite some time, but somehow never really managed to break out of the mould and do that one big thing that changes the script for a player. A very useful top-order batsman, Dhawan still has time on his side, and an effect IPL sting may well see new doors opening for him.
