Biography:During the Second World War, an officer in the Royal Scots, wounded in Belgium in 1940, then two years as an instructor at the Army School of Physical Training. training physical education teachers at the Department of Education at Newcastle, Durham University. Helped to organise the Commonwealth games in Edinburgh in 1970. Chairman of the Scottish Sports Council. Author of the book 'Batsmanship, today and Tomorrow' in 1958.
