Match notes
An outright win to New South Wales could place them at the top of the points table and it was something of a surprise when they called a conclusion to the match when the South Australian innings ended. However injuries had depleted their bowling and also had caused a falling away in their high standard of fielding as this match progressed. On reaching forty John Mosey brought up his one thousandth run in all matches.
