Match notes
New South Wales made a good start, McCabe being the first wicket to fall after 73 minutes. From that point wickets fell quickly until at five for 113 Fairfax joined Bill t add 183 in 135 minutes before Fairfax left. Bill then went without further addition, having batted 231 minutes, and the innings soon concluded. On the second day Queensland was twice dismissed and New South Wales won with an innings to spare and with a day in hand. The first Queensland innings concluded after 109 minutes, the second after 129 minutes.
