Match notes
Play commenced at 11.00 a.m. on the first day and continued to 2.09 p.m. when a light appeal was upheld. Rain followed making play impossible for the rest of the day and 181 minutes was lost. Rain then brought about the loss of the whole of the second day of play. On the third day play commenced at 11.00 a.m. and continued until 5.42 p.m. when the match ended as a draw with a total of 511 minutes having been lost. New South Wales batted until 12.24 p.m. on the third day allowing little chance of any decision being reached.
