This was the date scheduled for the Limited Over match in the Australian Cricket Board Cup competition but with the abandonment of the three day match and the possibility of further rain that fixture was played on the previous day. In order to give the players some further match activity this match was then arranged but it did not count as part of the ACB Cup competition. New South Wales were without the services of SR Clark and DT Johnston, reducing them to ten men. They invited the ACT player JA Voros, now playing for Sunshine Coast, to join their team for this match.
