The start of the match was delayed 45 minutes due to Hutt Valley arriving shortly after 10am after flying in on the first morning
RJ Ebert tore ligaments in his side on the first day and was unable to bowl again in the match
Hutt Valley had the impossible task of scoring 359 in 166 minutes to win the Hawke Cup with the match being called off without the optional extra 30 minutes being claimed
