Notes
--> WH Ashdown completed a hat-trick in the Gore Court first innings (Seager, Millen and Clinch)

The Gore Court no 11 in the Kent scorebook is given as A Newman but the Kent Blue Book gives him as Mr W Clinch who was a member of the Kent ground-staff during the season. The Blue Book also states that this game was against Sittingbourne though the scorebook has the game played by the Gore Court Club. From the East Kent Gazette, 6th June : 'Sittingbourne were not able to field their strongest side; the weather was fine; Unfortunately the captain of the visiting team displayed bad taste in questioning a successful appeal for lbw, given again [sic] Povey. It was contended that a batsman cannot be out lbw to a left-arm bowler, bowling around the wicket. Mr. Weigall should surely know better than that.' Jennings and Freeman left the ground at the close of the visitors innings, to catch a train to Northampton, where they were due to join the Kent XI/
