After match had ended a fight of some proportion took place presumably between the supporters. The following year before the match commenced W.W.Hill-Wood warned the players and supporters that if there was a similar occurrence again the match would be taken away from Lords. A brawl took place out in 1939 but probably because of the impending war nothing was said. Neither incident is mentioned in Wisden of the time.
