Notes
--> J Swanney passed his previous highest score of 33 in Lancashire League matches
For the first and only time during the season rain caused a major disruption with all the day's matches ending as No Result with no game progressing into the second innings.
John Swanney was the mainstay of the Accrington innings with an unbeaten 43 as the home side struggled to 111-8 against a Nelson side with Pat Calderbank in fine form, taking 5-31.
Tony Gallagher made 15 and opener Geoff Hayhurst 18 for Accrington with Mike Chapple also picking up 3-44 for the visitors.
