The SCA's Committee of Management determined to abandon play on Day 2 (November 29) of all Round Five matches, from 1st Grade through to 5th Grade, as a mark of respect following the tragic passing of Phillip Hughes. All matches have been declared a draw with no points awarded in any match, including where a result was already achieved.
Hughes' death was particularly poignant as he had represented the Western Suburbs club in the Sydney First Grade competition.
