PG Whelan and JAC Knowles added 98 runs for the fifth wicket in the Thames Valley first innings
Rain delayed the start of play on the second day for 2 and a half hours
During the Thames Valley first innings the King Country bowler, ND Fisher, was removed from the attack by the umpires because he was damaging the pitch in his follow through
There were only 83 minutes playing time left when King Country began their second innings but outstanding bowling and superb fielding meant that with 5 minutes to go King Country were 9 wickets down but the last pair managed to bat out time
