In the West Coast (South Island) second innings, WA Kennedy played a ball down on
to the pitch and then pushed the ball with his bat towards the nearest fielder.
There was an appeal and the umpire asked the Ashburton County captain if the
appeal was serious which was confirmed so the umpire had no option but to give
