Drawn rain-interrupted return match
Rain delayed the start on the first day until after lunch, and prevented any play on the second day, with the game being abandoned shortly before 3.00 pm.
The match at Oxford in June had also been drawn.
No details of the Worcestershire bowling analysis have been found in the match sources listed.
The analysis given has been derived by subtraction from the Worcestershire Minor Counties Championship averages in the 1896 James Lillywhite's Cricketer's Annual, with the exception of Raynor's overs which have been adjusted upwards from 18.2 to 22 to equate with Arnold's overs, and Arnold's wickets which have been adjusted downwards from 8 to 6 to agree with the scorecard.
The runs conceded add to one in excess of the Oxfordshire total of 96 for 9 wickets.
[Missing: Part fall of wickets; in Oxfordshire inns Worcestershire bowling analysis absent from match score sources, and the bowler of the no ball.]
