Hertfordshire won by 7 wickets at 4.50 pm on the second day. For the victors, there were 6 fours in Butcher's 86 and 10 fours in White's 85. In the Hertfordshire first innings Butcher and White put on 137 for the third wicket, the largest partnership for that wicket during the season. Both White and Coleman each took 9 wickets in the match. Sandwith's 59 for Norfolk included 6 fours. In the Hertfordshire first innings, Buxton kept wicket when Blake bowled.
