This rain-restricted match ended as a draw. Half an hour was lost to rain on the first day with an early ending of play, and on the second day there were several further interruptions amounting to between two to three hours. For Northamptonshire, East's 117 not out, his maiden century, contained 11fours, 7 threes and 8 twos and he batted for four hours.
