This card comes from the Minor Counties Research Project - research is continuing on this scorecard which can be expected to change.
The return match ended in a draw, as had the game between the two teams at Northampton in June. For Staffordshire, Mott's 99 included 15 fours and Hassall's 69 contained 2 fives and 5 fours. In the Staffordshire second innings, Stratton and Mott added 105 runs for the fifth wicket, which was the third highest for that wicket during the season. Colson's 107 not out for the visitors contained 16 fours and 3 threes, and he batted for all but 7 runs of the Northamptonshire innings.
[Missing: Umpires; extras breakdown; in Staffordshire 2nd inns fall of 6th and 7th wickets; in Northamptonshire inns duration and 'twos' in Colson's 107 not out, and fall of 7th wicket.]
