A drawn return match with Cornwall winning on first innings after Cornwall had required in their second innings 197 runs to win in 1¾ hours. Cornwall gained two points for first innings lead, due to a last wicket partnership of 39 runs by the Goldsworthy brothers. For the home team, there were 12 fours in Coad's 86. For the visitors, Waters took 10 wickets in the match for 113 runs. Bristowe scored 83, which included 12 fours, Watts 83 and Coulson played two innings of 81 and 56. In the Cambridgeshire first innings Coulson and Crouch added 80 runs for the eighth wicket, and in the second innings Coulson and Watts put on 132 runs for the fifth wicket. The two substitute catches in the Cambridgeshire second innings were held by H A Hancock.
