For the winners, there were 10 fours, 3 threes and 10 twos in Fereday's 103, an innings of 2ΒΌ hours. Stratton scored 90 and Vost's 52 included 6 fours. In the Staffordshire innings, Stratton and Fereday added 116 runs for the third wicket, and Vost and Bucknell 50 for the seventh. For the losers, Thompson scored 57.
