This rain-affected match was drawn with Suffolk winning on first innings. Bedfordshire needed 98 runs in their second innings to win the match in 55 minutes. 13 runs were required from the last over bowled by Trudgett but only six were scored. A cloudburst at 12.30 pm on the first day halted play for the day. For Suffolk, Francis carried his bat through the second innings for 27 runs. He batted for 53 minutes before he scored his first run. Trudgett took 9 wickets in the match for 92 runs. Wilson top-scored with 36. Raynor's fielding was commended in several newspaper reports. He was involved in all three of the Bedfordshire run outs and held 3 catches. For Bedfordshire, Morcom took 9 wickets in the match for 74 runs and Wharmby top-scored with 34.
