In the Cambridgeshire first innings, Bryan and G A Rose added 55 runs for the ninth wicket and G A Rose top-scored with 44. On the first day, the match started nearly half-an-hour late due to the late arrival of the visitors. The four catches held by Worman in the Cambridgeshire first innings were the joint highest in the season for a fielder shared with four others. The three catches held by Allen in the Cambridgeshire second innings were the joint highest of the season for a wicket-keeper shared with five others including himself.
