Glamorgan won this return match by an innings and 176 runs on the second day. The match between the two sides at Aylesbury earlier in the month had been left drawn. For the winners Riches completed his 1000th run during the season when he reached 50. His 194 included 1 six and 29 fours. Bancroft's 54 included 9 fours. Riches and Bancroft added 127 for the second wicket and Maxwell was in a partnership of 87 for the ninth wicket. Maxwell hit 50 in 25 minutes, his 54 not out included 3 sixes. Maxwell and Creber bowled unchanged throughout the match, Maxwell took 13 wickets for 129 runs including 8 wickets for 57 runs in the first innings and Creber took 7 wickets for 141. For Buckinghamshire Frith was a part-time wicketkeeper, possibly explaining the high number of extras in the Glamorgan innings. He also bowled in the match. However the scorers said that these wickets fell in the space of 4 balls.
[Missing: Umpires; extras breakdown; part fall of wickets; in Glamorgan innings duration of Riches's 194, whether Riches or Davis partnered Maxwell in the stand of 87 for the ninth wicket; precise time completed.]
