This return match was drawn with Wiltshire winning on first innings. Due to rain there was no play before lunch on the first day. Earlier in the year these teams also drew but then Surrey had taken the points for a first innings lead. Wiltshire were set a target of 144 to win in ?? hours but finished 25 runs short with their last two batsmen at the crease. In a low-scoring match, Surrey's Myers top-scored with 39 runs in his second innings. For Wiltshire, Newman took 9 wickets for 96 runs in the match, including 6 for 47 in Surrey's first innings. For Surrey, Platt took 9 wickets for 67 runs, including figures of 5 for 23 in Wiltshire's second innings.
