Suffolk,
after suffering six successive defeats, drew this return match with their last wicket pair - Bassett and Waters - holding on for a draw.
On the morning of the second day, Suffolk had narrowly saved the follow on.
The match between the two sides at Skegness in July had been won by Lincolnshire by 198 runs.
For the winners Thompson scored 93 with 10 fours and Broughton 77 with 13 fours.
