The encounter between the two sides at Luton the earlier
in the month had been drawn.
For Hertfordshire Golding scored 100 in their first innings.
It contained 12 fours and lasted three hours.
According to match reports he was responsible for three of the four run outs in the Hertfordshire first innings.
In the Hertfordshire first innings Golding and Burton added 51 runs for the eighth wicket.
Burton took ten wickets in the match for 125 runs, including 6 for 51 in the Bedfordshire first innings and 4 for 74 in the second.
For Bedfordshire R H King top-scored with 43.
It was largely due to his innings that Hertfordshire had to bat again.
