Fast individual innings in ODIs
by Muhammad Asim

Scorecard:Pakistan v South Africa

On October 3, during the 1st match of the five-match one-day series against South Africa at Lahore, Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik smashed an unbeaten 82 off just 41 balls with a phenomenal strike rate of 200.0 runs (per 100 balls). It thus provided the 20th instance in the shorter version of the game, when a single batsman scored 50 or more runs with a strike rate of at least 200.0 runs per 100 balls. Malik also became the fourth Pakistani to perform such feat. The accompanying table has the complete details.
